Lost and found

Monday morning my 2 dogs (Ice & xiao Bai) ran away from home. After work i came back and join my family and friends to search for them in the forest nearby.

It as super dark and only the guys can go inside the forest to look for them but we girls just hang outside and kept calling out their names. Saw Ice in the bushes but she kept running away. Imagine the frustration.

And my sister kept crying…just so difficult to manage. I went home with my dad around 3 am while the rest continued.

Next morning, forced myself to get ready for work, then realised my sister still crying and went into the forest alone, I had to apply for urgent leave. That morning, my sis, bro, dad and i got all prepared and went into the forest.

Seen the biggest red ants, about the size of 5 cent coin, bee hives, what we thought traces of illegal immigrants stuffs. And my dad tried to lighten up the atmosphere by teaching us combat training.Got so much insect bites that it still itches. The grass were so tall and sharp that we got so many cuts!

That night we heard news that they from old Tampines Road ran to Sengkang, Rivervale Drive. Went there and search, then another news came said they are at Punggol Park and we rushed there. In the end still can’t find them.

Wednesday came and went with no news.

Today, i came home, unlock the door and first thing i saw was Ice’s face.

I can’t tell you how happy i was that i cried. I didn’t cry earlier when they were lost, so this time i didn’t held back on tears. And Xiao bai was there as well. apparently some guy saw them crossing dangerously on the busy road, brought them to Pasir Ris PetFarm and a friend there alerted Michelle.

So glad they came back safe and sound. Makes me treasure all my dogs so so so much more.

Thanks so much to Michelle who ran so much to get them back. Thanks Shu Hui, Shu Xian, Colin and Ah boy for spending so many hours into the night to search for them in the forest with us.

And thank god for this experiences that brings my family so much closer.

I can’t imagine the surprise, really. Because i left my handphone at home so my family couldn’t inform me earlier. I’ll never forget the moment i open the door and see the face that i wishes to see so much in the past few days.

Beer and complains

I met up with my course mates for dinner and drinks on Friday.

Nina and Xin yi couldn’t make it…(HOW COULD YOUUUUU?!?!?)

Anyhoo, I met Syaz and Wan Jun at Cityhall mrt and we made our way to Esplanade and had our dinner at some restaurant. I’m not going to say the name of the restaurant because I’m not giving good reviews on it.

Food is so miserably small like its food for anorexic people! And on the menu, they serve Char Kway Tiao for $12.50, Ikan bilis at $7.00?!

Food is nothing special. Maybe i don’t have the exquisite palate for these so overall, i don’t enjoy it. Being that the portion is small, its expensive and i can’t afford to waste money since it just a day before i get salaried!

And suddenly this waiter came to our table and place his head on it and informed us about their Halloween party tomorrow night and he will be dressed as Lady Gaga!

After that we went Timbre and thank god for good calamari and roast duck pizza and good swing of Erdinger.

 

Overall its a fun night out, great live band, can’t say much about the down pour later on…

its so weird to see them again, and we were all catching up on each other. Talking mostly about work and uni and we kept eyeing at guys at the pub. And exchange funny and embarrassing stories…oh my god…we are actually complaining about men and people at work over alcohol?!

Its fun and weird at the same time.

And how much we have changed since our poly days. I guess one have to go through some hardships and meet difficult people in order for us to appreciate the good friends around us.

That what seemed to happened to the 3 of us.

I hope to have a gathering of my year 1 poly girls one fine evening. How about it?

fASHION & mONEY

I would like to make a shout out…

why does fashion and money issues always comes together???

Ignore my man’s (Jay Sean) singing at the background. Now is not the time to swoon over his voice.

Now is time to take up a board and march around in circles!

I love fashion, especially now that the fashion is leading by the young starlets of hollywood (and disney). Leighton Meester, Rachel Bilson, Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, Emma Watson and so on…

I’m going to start watching Gossip Girls because of the millions of dollars of fashion stuffs they get to strut about in the show.

Fashion comes with hefty price. I TOTALLY understand because fashion is art. Art work needs time and inspiration to produce. So its like buying art!

But then again, you want it to be accessible to us common people who don’t collect big fat pay cheques every month. There are some nice nice drop-dead beautiful outfits that i would just kill to have it. Zoom in on their feets and you get a small text thats says its a Michael Kors or Louboutin heels and hello? $300 a pair is darn cheap you say…

I can friggin get thousands of double eyelid tapes with a friggin $300!

Did you try to use your feet and stand on a wad of $300 bills?  Didn’t think so, that’s why i don’t buy such luxury heels. I rather spend the moolah on a Burberry or Rock & Republic jeans. Darn those are so pricey too.

 I’m not saying everyone should HAVE a Dolce & Gabana gown or a Hermes bag. But having just one great designer art piece that every women in the world are praising it is a great achievement.

As for me, I will just continue to blab on my blog  and eat sour grapes.

Until the day I have reached the peak of my career and able to buy myself a nice piece of art work, an awesome handbag. I be smiling all the way to greener pastures.

Dead tired

So on Sunday i left the house at 3.30am. To help a family friend to move their house. All that moving, and carrying and sorting and cleaning didn’t end till 3pm! And reached home around4pm. Took a quick shower and slept till next morning and then woke up to go work.

Because of customs routine checks, I was doing OT 2 days straight till10pm.

So dead tired!

Work may be tough and frustrating but you got to roll with the punches and reward yourself when you deserve it…

I love YSL lippie casing…it look so elegant and classy. And i heard this lippie is quite moisturising. I’m getting the nude color, something i can wear everyday.

…and there’s like a week till i get paid and i can reward myself with this…

in the meantime i’ll just reward myself with this…

Hiphop awake

I tell you honestly, beside the 4 hours afternoon nap i had, i didn’t sleep a wink.

I got something on that I need ot leave the house at an unearthly hour of 3.30am. So I’m trying to keep myself awake with caffein kick.

I watched 50 First dates, Hoodwinked, Bee Movie and a little of Ocean Twelve. And buying Jay Sean’s music online…oh my god I think I’m a fan becoming of his.

Caffein+movie marathon+HipHop & R&B fix = Staying awake!

The music have to be fast songs in order to keep your brain from sleeping…

Bonding bar

Its so weird ever since my family start to visit the temples so often, we became awfully close. Even my brudder and sisters who never talk to each other, got so much to talk about.

And this made planning for our future new home even more fun!

We are planning to have this bar  counter.

1 shelve for my dad’s Martell and Cognac.

1 shelve for my sis’s vodka collection

1 shelve for my brudder’s Johhnny Walker collection

1 chiller for my favourite wines and liqueurs

1 little shelf space for my mum’s Hui Ji Pu Yao Jin (Since she don’t drink like any of us)

And 2nd floor will be the games room, with Playstation, Xbox and Wii!

Anyway the games room might be too imaginary but the bar counter is gonna be true.

Anyway my sis and i are going to have some cocktail party (experimental cocktails) mixing with fruits, soda water, white wine, champagne and of course my peach, strawberry and cassis liqueurs from my company.

Sound like some alcoholic but its this drinking sessions that we bond so…make way for bonding between drunkards!

You almost brought my stress level down like 80%!!! Thanks my man!

I got a great big fat pimple that i need to dry it up into a prune so i got to go.

Anyway its another day of couch sinking and Friends reruns for me. I need to do something about my hair, its like crap! Let’s see what inspiration i will get tomorrow to deal with it… shorter bob hair cut, rebond…
